One of the biggest mistakes a lot of sign shops make is not qualifying their customers better (or sometimes at all). You're not going to be the perfect fit for everyone so use these questions to qualify your customers.

Most of the challenging factors in the sales process can be overcome, or at least mitigated through strong qualification skills. 

  1. Asking leading questions. Asking specific questions. 
  2. Listening intently and with purpose
  3. Asking better follow-up questions that expose need or want
  4. Listening some more. And some more. 
  5. Ask negative questions to clarify intent and drive clients in your direction. 
  6. Don’t lie to yourself, if it’s not a good match now, it likely will only get worse.
